Obesity - A real big problem

Obesity is a a major cause of preventable deaths in the world.  This is a bigger problem in the developed world compared to developing countries, obvious reasons being overeating, hectic lifestyle, lack of exercise, more emphasis on fast food.  Simply speaking , Obesity is being overweight , while taking height and age as comparative parameters. As a general standard BMI ( body mass index) of more than 25 is considered obese. Such people are more prone to diseases like High blood pressure ( Hypertension), Diabetes mellitus, more deadly disease like Coronary artery disease which can cause heart attack and stroke.
 People who weigh more than they should , closely monitor their blood pressure, regular get blood sugar levels tested. Regular testing of total cholesterol, LDL (bad cholesterol) , HDL ( good cholesterol) is necessary. If regular monitoring is done,it can help avoid major damage and reduce hospital admissions and health care costs.
